winscp error"Network error:Connection timed out" PLZHELP!!!

    k so i installed open ssh on my jailbroken 1.1.3 ipod touch
    i install winSCP on my computer
    i enter my ipods address in host name
    i put "root" (with out the quotes) in username and alpine as password
    when i try to login or connect to the ipod
    i get a white window for about 30 seconds and BOOM
    Network error: Connection timed out

    i dont see an error in my input for the winscp data
    which is why i need help :(

    Reset your router and make sure the ipod auto-lock is set to never.

    Wow. Haha, I was having the exact same problem as djdeko. I just put auto-lock to never and it worked! Thanks jpg.

    if it's your first time just leave the timed out message (don't hit the button) i will login just leave it first time takes about 45 sec

    It doesnt work for me also...

    I also tryed it with a wired connection once and it works. Then the next day i tryed it again and it doesnt work... what shoud i do?

    ive got the same problem, i restar de wifi al put never to sleep the ipod but still its says conection error time out!

    zloydemon.......Yes mate....i have the same issue.......worked fine first time (and a few times after) but now blank window for 15 - 20 secs then [network error:conection timed out]. Is there another windows app that you can use with open ssh?

    I have tried everything....reset ipod, reset router, changed connection timeout to 45 secs in advanced options, ipod set to never lock, unistalled WinSCP and reinstalled it..........everthing!! but it still will not log on........ohh....and now it says [network error:connection refused]. Time to ditch this piece of sh#t and start looking for other alternatives.....lol
