WinSCP and CuteFTP wont connect:(

    Neither of them will connect for some reason. Any clues as to why this is happening?

    Check your internet connection on your ipod and computer, check you put in the correct IP address, and make sure you used "root" as the username and "alpine" as the password.

    Do you have OpenSSH installed on your iPod?

    Try resetting your router if all the settings are correct and you are sure OpenSSH is installed..

    Internet connection is good. I can use safari and youtube and cydia. And the password/username are correct. IP adress is also correct.
    And openssh has been installed.

    Hmm...

    Make sure the ssh toggle is set to on....

    I thought of that but I couldnt find where to turn it on. Could you point me in the right direction?

    Are your computer and ipod on the same wireless network?

    No my pc is on a wired network.

    I just downloaded bossprefs and turned ssh and wifi on but no luck

    That is your problem. Your PC is on a different network than your iPod is, which means that they can't connect to each other. They need to be on the same network in order to connect to each other via SSH.
