    Hi Guys,

I used winpwn yesterday on my iPod Touch but it has gone horrifically wrong!

About half way through the pwnage the screen went black and will now not turn on at all. iTunes and other software notice it as being in recovery mode but the strange thing is it is being recognised as an iPhone.

My only understanding is where ever I downloaded the 1.1.4 ipod firmware from was in fact firmware for the iPhone. Who would change the file name—perhaps it was a mistake on their part??

However when I try and restore from iTunes I get an unknown error occurred.
Help is more than gr8ly appreciated and a cash reward WILL be in place to whoever can help me get it back to a work 1.1.4 ipod. I’m serious about the cash as it will be cheaper than buying a new touch

    Thanks in advance

    Stu.

hmm have you tried putting it in DFU mode with Ziphone and restoring to 1.1.1 and then upgrading to 1.1.4 through iTunes? long shot, but helped when i was having updating problems.

Have you tried this? i know its from going from 1.1.3 to 1.1.1, not 1.1.4, but it shouldnt matter. Just follow the directions.
