    its still not working can anyone tell me how to put those commands into CMD.... bc first im putting in the first line then enter, but on the first line it just says path unspecified... am i doing anything wrong? im talking about the first commands not the second ones.

    same problem as shiben plz help. Where exactly do we copy the original ipsw file to the xpwn directory?

    There is a little typo at the end (12.)

    instead of


    I had to unplug my ipod during 2~3 minutes before putting it again in DFU mode (after step 11) or Xp wouldn't recognise it.

    Thx again.


    EDIT : Oh and the command is not "exit" but "/exit"
    EDIT2 : You should put all the files in C:, some people seems to have problems finding their desktop ^^'

    Ok, before I even started doing the tutorial, I tried putting it into DFU mode for fun. Now my iPod won't even turn back on... A pop-up came on my screen saying the device is malfunctioned. How do I turn my iPod back on?

    make sure you don't just copy and paste. if you copy and paste the first command, if you notice it says : c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME

    you're supposed to specify YOUR username also, if on windows xp like me, put Documents and Settings instead of users

    yes, ive done that, it just wont load the ipsw
    Where the HEII are we supposed to put the ipsw file into the xpwn folder, just into the main directory or in to firmware packages or bundles or WHERE?

    where do we put the ipsw file 2.2.1 on the xpwn directory? in the bundles folder? firmware bundles?

    Just in the XPwn directory (XPwn-0.5.7-win32) not in either of those.
