And again, Microsoft is years behind the competitor.

Eh, not really.. I really don't like microsoft as much as I like Apple... They are just in time ATM... iPad vs this thing... Windows tablet vs. iPod touch. I like the loo of this though... Now off to play x360.

Hopefully it won't be filled with as much crap as the app store.

Nothing will ever beat the AppStore. The iPad'll be out soon, so even more apps will begin to flow in.

The App Store has quite the lead, so I don't think the Windows Phone Marketplace will become an "App Store beater", but...

Depending how "open" it is, it could easily become almost as successful. A lot of developers are bitter over Apple's acceptance policy right now.

We should hope that the Windows Phone Marketplace becomes successful, and a serious contender to Apple's App Store, however, because it may be just the boot to the butt that Apple needs to finally getting around to improving and streamlining their process and acceptance standards.

How are they years behind Apple? Apps are apps weather they are in the App store or a windows market place or a Droid store and regardless of when a store is created.

look at the picture. i could see myself using a tablet that uses 2/3 to all of that "screenshot", while the phone only shows 1/4 of it at a time. hmm.

oh yes it will (be filled with crap)
and probably your daily share of malware too!
one of the reasons there is no excessive bullsh*t in the appstore is apple's acceptance policy, whether you like it or not. And be honest people, it's fairly easy to avoid fart apps/shovelware apps in the appstore amirite?
