    odris, its going to be a while, the Apple or PineApple should be up, and it should have the spinning wheel in the bottom, and then at sometime the Apple or Pineapple should go away, as it did for me...

    Uh, maybe you should wait for a while, like 20 minutes or so, and if its the same, unplug it, turn it off (Hold both buttons for a while) and then restore it to 2.1 and try it again.

    so the "not *******" apps work with 2.1 and with iTunes 8? again, I hear it only works with iTunes 7.7.0 because apple put out a fix b/c of those bad people who kept getting those cracked apps :rolleyes:

    Little help please, when i have put it in DUF mode i go back to iTunes to shift click Restore but were is restore? because when i shut down my ipod it removes it from itunes and then theres no option to restore?

    Feck it, "your iPod could not be restored, an error occured" im going to leave it, to much hassle grrr.

    Shift-clicking Restore doesn't seem to work for me; it just wants to download the firmware everytime. It doesn't give me the option to select an IPSW from my computer :(
