I am currently looking for a laptop. I used to have a Lenovo IdeaPad but I had to send it back shortly because Vista crashed on an Update and it lead to hardware failure. Im skeptical on going back to Vista but does anyone have any idea how much an Improvement Windows 7 will be?Plus what is up with the No Browser on Windows 7 for European Nations? Good think they didnt do it for the US

Windows 7 has faster boot/shut down times, a nicer task bar and modest performance improvements. (I'm probably forgetting some; I'm all-Mac these days)

I would recommend Windows 7 over Vista.

There is no browser bundled with the OS in the EU due to a nasty anti-trust lawsuit a few years ago involving Microsoft. It's only to ensure fairness in the browser market, no harm done. EU users can still download IE8 easily.

Windows 7 will be a better version of Windows Vista
So I think that all the users of Windows Vista will upgrade to Windows 7

I had vista when I got this laptop about a year ago, ran fine, not too many problems. Upgraded to 7 when the beta was released and now I wouldn't go back to vista if I was given the option, I prefer it far more than vista.

Isn't Microsoft going to sell a Vista to 7 Upgrade CD, how much is that going to be. Because I was thinking i would buy the laptop now with Vista then When Windows 7 drops ill get the upgrade.
