yeah...it's not smart to use a chemical on your sexy device. Windex eats away the protective coating on the glass and possibly some of the finish on the glass itself (maybe makes the glass weaker idk).

At this point I highly recommend you get a film. I don't know why you can't just use your shirt like a normal person...but yeah just stick with the film

    there is protective coating!?!?!
i thought glass naturaly dosent scratch because it is harder than metal and only diamonds can scratch glass..
i have used it on the back and for 3 months nothing bad has happened
the screen is EXACTLY the same as the day i bought it except for a really really thin scratch and a two other which you cant see even if you try(takes me 10 min to see them even if i know where they are....).
The back is fine tooo just scratched alot.
    im not using windex again
i have used it with my computer's LCD monitor too and after 10 months nothings wrong with it!

Windex with LCD=Bad, says my Manual for my 22'' LCD.
Try Just Water? or A Polishing wipe with barely any Windex on it?

People say "regular" Windex is Ok, for electronic devices
they say its the Blue windex thats good
But mine says it has AMMONIA D!!!
and yet nothing that it has touched has gotten ruined including:
    My psp
    Ipodtouch
    19" LCD monitor
    50" plasma tv lol

PS: none of this stuff had a "glare" coating on them.
should i keep worrying about my ipod or should i just forget about it?

Yes, Windex on LCD is bad, but isn't the Touch made of glass? I don't know. I haven't tried it yet.

As for using it on the back, I've done it many times. No problems here. The smear goes away with constant rubbing with a cloth. Preferably microfiber or the ones that comes with eye glasses. Try water too if it doesn't go away. Hope that helps.

I just bought a microfiber cloth at advanced autoparts and it changed my life. I had been using a damp rag and that would work pretty effectively, but still leave som grease on the edges. I used the microfiber without anything on it and ALL of the grease was gone. I also used it on the back, and it is now snier than my mirror. I am never using a regular cloth again.
