Ok I am really Scared here!!!!
I jailbroke my iPod touch lately using Ziphone 2.6b.
Worked like a charm and everything works fine.
But now i'm reading on the internet and on forums that Ziphone downgrades bootloader and then there is no way back.
But i also heard that there i no need to downgrade the iPod's bootloader in order to jailbreak so why would ziphone do that?

    My question is:

I jailbroke my iPod with Ziphone 2.6b. I clicked Jailbreak (the iPod Touch square)
    Did that downgrade my bootloader?
If yes will this harm my iPod in the future?

Should i restore and rejailbreak with iLiberty+?

    I Really Love my iPod

You just asked the same freakin question 2 minutes ago

    IT WON'T HURT IT

i prefer iLiberty + because its a better jailbreak overall

ziphone replaces your bootloader with a custom one, not downgrade

    iLiberty + doesn't do that...

If you jailbreak your ipod and have 3.9BL will restoring it bring it back to 4.6?

Just restore it in DFU Mode or regularly and everything should go back to normal to ur factory settings =). I used ziphone as well!!!!!!!! =) Ipodtouchmaster also used it!!!!

There is also probably a reason why iliberty is not as popular

The phrases "bootloader", "3.9" and "4.6" only refer to the iPhone, and the bootloader is only touched if you Unlock the device.

ZiPhone uploads a custom ramdisk to the iPod, but that can easily be erased by restoring.

I only ask because on the iliberty website it says ziphone will customize the ramdisk to an irreversible state (not that its a bad change, just irreversible)

thank you. the bootloader only affects the locking and unlocking of the iphone (and some other stuff) (i think its like the modem firmware) so uh why would the ipod touch have a bootloader. i dont wanna be rude but people should read (im only 14 and i dont seem to have to ask pointless questions)
