I may sell. A friend said he would purchase my 1st gen iPad 32GB 3G+WiFi for like $500-$600 ... and if the new iPad costs the same as the 1st gen, I'll only have to pay between $100-$200 for a brand new iPad.
I've already sold mine in preparation, I got £380 for it. It was brand new, still had the plastic on it because Apple replaced it.
Most likely not. With the rumors all pointing towards no retina display; There is no real value add for me as yet.
not . cuz the ipod touch/iphone can already do that but just w/ a 10in screen. and my ipad's mute switch is broken
Um, not likely. After announcement, their will be a flood of people selling off their iPads. However, consider this: I have done so with iPhones since the first gen and I have always recovered way more money than I out in. Especially if you are eBaying it, the listing is what counts. People are still willing to pay top dollar for these things, even more so if you say that you will jailbreak or pre-hack (add like Winterboard, SBSettings or something to) it. I am lucky since I have a 64GB 3G with unlimited data, I could keep my SIM and sell my ipad a month before the release and maybe lose less than $100 when all is said and done. I know that the unlimited SIMs are non-transferrable, otherwise I could get more... Ballin! Lol Not likely especially given the current rumors. If all that comes out is cameras, 512MB RAM and slimmer body, I think we would see a drop on the intro 1st gens by $100 maybe a little more. Sure, there will be people on Craigslist that sell their scuffed up models for $200, but those will likely be quite rare. I think there will be a lot of $400 offers, $350 lowest. But who knows? To quote the last two: I too use my iPad as my primary machine, so it will suck to go like a month without it. But I know that my son will love messing with the FaceTime cams, and I will like the improved performance and RAM, so it will be worth the wait
