Will we be able to go back to 1.1.4 once we go to 2.0?

    Or if we buy a new ipod touch and it has 2.0 on it, will we be able to bring it down to firmware 1.1.4?

    Yes, iTunes wont stop the shift+restore function so ud be alright

    I dunno, what if the final firmware release un-does whatever makes dfu mode possible

    i think so because if you have the firmware on your computer or mac you can restore your ipod to 1.1.4

    Yes you will. You can always downgrade. If not (highly doubtable) then someone will make methods like they did in the past.
