    He-hey!

I was just about to buy SimCity for my iPod Touch 2g when I noticed that I have to update my iPod in order to play the game. Nothing wrong there, except that I'm afraid that I won't be able to jailbreak my iPod Touch 2g when a jailbreak finally will be available.

Is this right, or can I safely upgrade to the latest firmware without the risk of missing the change of a jailbreak?

    Thanks in advance

I'm sure you can always do a downgrade through DFU mode. At least, that's what I think you can do.

You can upgrade, the only reason that was an issue was on the iPhone because it changed the baseband and that is not an issue for the iPod

yeah, you can always downgrade via DFU restore... just search on google for "ipod touch 2g firmware 2.1.1 download" and click on the first link... you can download the 2.1.1 firmware there, and simply put your ipod in DFU mode, and then hold shift, and click restore... Choose the firmware you downloaded. DONE!
