If I were to scan the barcode of a store's "customer card" (CVS, Borders, etc.) and put the scanned picture onto my iPod Touch, would it work if I were to try to scan it?

For example -- Stop & Shop (supermarket in New England) has a customer card... and has self-checkout register things.... if this would work I could just open my Photos, open the folder with the barcode scans, and could save some space in my wallet or on my keychain...

Would it work or do I need to try it myself to find out?

I doubt it, the lazer will not be able to read the bar code correctly due to reflection..

I like you thinking, give it a go thou
