will this run?

    i have a rig that i am expanding but have almost no knowledge of graphics cards,so i need some help getting the right one.
    I whant to run mw2 at about medium graphics and good fps rate.
    this is my rig so fare.

    Intel Celeron 2.50 GHz
    1.2GB RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
    MS window's sp3
    100 GB hard drive

    i am hopeing to get a:H545H512 Radeon HD 5450 Video Card
    And upgrade to 2GB of ram.

    please tell me if i need to upgrade anything (if any) else so i can play.

    A quick and i mean very quick review leads me to believe that the FX 5200 was a PCI graphics card. Now the problem with this is that the one your looking at is PCIe, i would need to know what your main graphics interface is on your motherboard. You will either AGP or PCIe. Basicaly if your could tell us what motherboard you have, we can tell your your graphics options and whay type of ram you would need.

    cpuid im on main board but i think thats the same thing as motherboard.

    Yeah, i would save up some cash and buld a whole new machine. Well not all new, you could keep the case i guess.

    The Celeron isn't going to cut it, and I wouldn't doubt that it would actually bottleneck any modern GPU that you throw at it (I use 'modern' loosely).

    I'm going to suggest that you rip out the motherboard and start anew.

    How much money do you have?

    Maybe you should save up and get a decent laptop,works out cheaper and you can still handle games like modern warfare 2 at high,with decent frame rates of course,Well thats what I would do,but I find updating computer hardware frustrating lol :-/

    wow lot's of responses! thank you and i guess it would be cheaper to buy a laptop ( i considered that at first) but the problem is that i don't know how to work on laptops just desktop's.oh well guess ill just have to deal with that and learn some new stuff!

    P.S. does anyone still play crossfire?

    EDIT: what would be a good mobo or even a descent one compared?
