Hey, so for christmas I got a 2nd gen iPod touch. So I am going to go out tomorrow and buy a case for it. I was looking at some leather ones that had a flap that folded over the cover the screen, but it stayed shut with magnets. I thought that magnets would damage electronics so isn't it not safe to have a case like that? I just don't want to but a case liek that and have my ipod get all messed up.

I doubt they would make a case that could potentially destroy your ipod. I'm sure its safe to use.

Maybe if you get a huge magnet and set it on your iPod. My iPod is perfectly fine with a case with magnets

totally idiotic, theres no reason that a magnet case would mess up your ipod

On old iPods this might have applied, because it would be the same as placing a magnet on a floppy disk (I believe) - It would corrupt or erase files. However, the iPod Touch uses flash memory, which is not vulnerable to this.
