will the price for the ipod touch drop?

its like $299 now, and if the iphone is gonna be $199,
if the price for the ipod touch doesn't drop to like $150 why buy an ipod touch, just buy an iphone and use it like an ipod touch with no at&t deal. right?

    1. There's many threads exactly the same as this one. Search before you create a new thread.
    2. No one knows if there will be an iPod touch price cut.
    3. You can't purchase a 3G iPhone without a plan, unless you were referring to the normal iPhone.

in the US, they have to pay for the iPhone ($200) then a minimum contract of $70 for 2 years! shocking!
while in the UK there will be a pay as u go option

Gay isn't the word you should be using Kid. :)

Anyway, I see there being a new iPod Touch coming near Fall/Winter (Hint X-Mas) since it'll have been 1 Year since the iPod Touch had since been released. And you know what the Holiday Seasons bring. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Now, please get with the century and stop using the word "Gay" to describe something you don't like, alrightey? :)

In the US at least, the 3G iPhone prices of $199 and $299 go along with a minimum 2-year contract. Things are different in the UK, with the pay as you go plan.

We know this because Apple and at&t have said so specifically. They have said that there will be a minimum 2-year contract with at&t upon purchasing a 3G iPhone, which will be activated before you leave the store. So, you won't be able to leave the store without a plan-less 3G iPhone.
