Im getting an ipod touch in a week and I have a Dell laptop with usb1 ports. Does anyone know or have any experience of using a second generation ipod touch with usb 1? If so does it work and how slow is it?

syncing and restoring, but you maybe fine. how old is your laptop? you should have usb 2.0 ports.

the laptop is probably four or five years old but has been upgraded since then, just not the usb ports. about syncing, does that mean it won't physically be able to put songs, apps, videos on my ipod? or will it just be really slow?

if its been upgraded, you should be fine. if not, it may be slow or you may get errors. you will just have to wait and see. good luck and i hope you like your new ipod. you'll have HOURS of fun with it after you get it jailbroken. just make sure that you do alot of research before messing around with it. almost everything you can think of about ipod touches are on youtube, just type in your question and i guaranty that someone has made a video about it.
