Ok. This is my first thred...

I bought an iPod Touch 2g for 350$ (1060 RONs in Romania). That is alot of money!

The Dev-team releasted a untheaderd Jailbrake (FINALY!!!!) but I can`t jailbrake because my parents say that it will void the warantee and that if it`s goig to brake...you know how it feels to lose 350$ in a second...

SO the Question is... IF I JAILBRAKE, WILL I VOID MY WARANTEE????

Yes, you'll lose your warranty. It's not illegal though.

    BTW:

If i do something wrong...and the iPod is not booting, not charging and not reconaised by iTunes, can I enter in DFU and restore it?
The only store in may city is a table in the midle on the local mall (and my city is one of the bigest in Romania). People there use a non-Apple laptop with XP (WTF?) and they aren`t ``Apple Geniouses`` so if i brick my iPod, are they going to keep my bricked one and order me a new one? Or are they goig to send it to Apple USA and they will try to fix it?

    Thank you again!

You should NEVER need your warranty to resolve a software problem (DFU -> restore). If it's physically damaged (screen/audio output/whatever) you're probably still be able to get to DFU, so then just restore as well before RMA'ing it.

it only voids your warranty while it is jailbroken. If you return it to apple with a hardware problem they won't bother checking to see if it was jailbroken but they will test the system stability so it's best to restore to factory settings before you ship it out.

It is currently impossible to bring your iPod into a state from which you cannot restore it to the factory condition with only software modifications, so just make sure to read instructions carefully and you will be fine.

P.S. De fapt, scrii foarte bine in engleza

You're the one f***ing around with their Operating System. Why in the hell should they help you with anything if you messed it up?
