Will Jaibreak 2.0 make all the apps in Appstore free?

    im sure there will be modding of some apps to remove drms and then maybe people will put them in their repo but it doesnt just make them free

    It is highly likely that someone will find a way to circumvent the DRM on the apps and put them on installer for free. But it is illegal and personally I wouldnt want to see it happen. As teslanaut said in another thread, it would be better for there to be a clean 2.0 community, developing apps and not just removing security from someone elses work.

    Hypothetically, if that we're to happen and this site supported it, this site would probably be taken down by apple.

    but weren't the apps in installer free? which is almost the same as appstore except it wasn't owned by apple?

    Yes but they were meant to be free...

    The paid apps in the appstore are not.

    even if they were, which is not that likely, a) i doubt the dev team would risk jeopardizing the legitimacy of the jailbreak community by supporting this and b) either way, it won't be discussed on this site. thread closed
