I was prepared to buy an iPad next month but the thought of having it with a video camera for Skype...

I highly doubt it. It would be waay too much competition for the iPhone 4

    well the more the better.

Now consumers will think on deciding between the ipad or the Iphone 4. now any other competition like maybe android phones wont be thought of. the consumer will mainly focus on the apple products instead.

If the iPad get's these features, then many people will not see the point in purchasing an iPad as well as an iPhone 4. Apple will most likely try to keep the purpose 'boundary' between the two devices as distinct as possible, so that people will have the need for both devices. That way, the sale of one device will not negatively impact the sale of the other as much.

I can see a much better screen, much better specs, much better battery life, and some cosmetic changes, but not a camera on the device... For one, it would be awkward holding it, and it would just defeat the purpose of the iPhone 4 as stated. If anything, Apple might allow a framework of sort to use the iPhone 4 as a camera for the iPad, while the iPad will get a much better version of iMovie to edit and fix up videos recorded using the iPhone 4.

i doubt its the battery itself, more like how the OS uses more efficently.
