    Well I just sold my main computer, and that was the computer to which I synced my iPod Touchs. When I buy a new computer, will all of my application purchases transfer over too, or will I have to buy everything again?

    I think that its like buying from app store on the ipod touch and it will sync back to itunes on your new computer too. But I'm not too sure because I've always used my iPod one computer. Wait until someone else replys.

    All purchases are recorded via Purchase History on your account.

    In iTunes, go under these tabs
    Store-->Check For Available Downloads
    *All purchases, music, vids, apps, etc, will be downloaded onto the new computer.

    Really? Now I'm confused. I remember a thread a few weeks ago people were saying that if your harddrive crashes and you don't have a back-up of the files, you cannot just re-download them onto a new drive. You have to call Apple and they'll allow you to download the files again but only once, never again.

    So what's the difference in getting a new computer and having a harddrive crash with no backups of the files?

    Incorrect. When you download a Movie/Video/Song, it gets added to a queue on your account. Anyone on that queue for that account can download the media along with you. And once the download is finished, it gets removed from the queue. If you want to download it again, you will have to pay for that media once again. For Apps, it is different. It stays in your account and you can redownload at anytime.

    Just click on buy app option and iTunes will let you download them again for free.

    Well, if that's the case then you e-mail Apple Support, and they clear the queue so all your purchases are then they are downloaded once more. Always a record in Purchase History.

    So, you actually pay for your contents twice then?
    Great shopper you are

    Me? I've done it once, to test it. I share an account with someone in my family. And we decided to test if I could download it again. And to see if it would charge to the account again.
