Will downloading debs from bigboss work?

    i was wondering, if i can download .debs from thebigboss.com will that subsitude the need of wifi? If it does work where do i ssh the files to?

    Chill out... Yes you can. I use Cyder 2 to get the links and thing copy them into a "New Download" windows of FDM... I have dialup so Cyder doesn't usually download stuff while FDM does, then I transfer to iPod with iPhone Folders and install with iFile and delete the deb.

    lol i found out a different way, it only works with thebigboss stuff so far, i go to thebigbboss.com and then download the free debs. then i shh them to the media folder and then use terminal to install em, then delete

    I think iFile also installs them

    ^Yeah iFile does, so do a couple other apps... or you can put them in the Cydia AutoInstallation folder and reboot and respring and they'll be there.

    A deb is the Unix equivalent of a Windows exe... Windows is based on DOS, Linux and Mac (and iPhone OS) are based on Unix. If you have a Windows computer then you click on an exe (executable) file to install a program, and with the iPhone OS you install applications using either an IPA (iPhone application) or a deb (debian package file).
