It's possible, but it would be slow. Very slow. Plus, yes, the control scheme would be damn near impossible to work out. Where would you put an analog stick, 8-way digital pad, Start, A, B, and 4 directional buttons, plus two shoulder buttons and a trigger button? That's two directional pads plus ten buttons plus an additional menu button (to go back to the emulator menu) that you'd have to fit all on-screen at once.

Lol sounds like it can't be possible then. Controls are too complicated.

Bear in mind that all of the buttons and directionals have to be large enough to manipulate with a thumb without running into other buttons. That is where the biggest problem lies (n terms of control; the real biggest problem is getting several processors totalling more than half the iPod Touch's available power running at more than 5FPS)

Your image there, while creative, would have the buttons just too small to be able to manipulate without hitting one or more other functions at the same time.

It's definetly NOT impossible... people said the same stuff about the PS1 emulator and it's controls. Maybe some day we will even see dreamcast on the touch or iphone
