When Will they update iTunes and prevent the SHIFT+ RESTORE process that lets us install pirated 3.0 and modified firmwares, such as when we Jailbreak.

You would think that they would have of caught onto this by now don't you think?

No, they won't, in case there is a bug of some sorts or something in the firmware that is stock, they would need it to backup, they will never change that unless they need to.

Because, it is important for people to be able to restore to possibly legit firmwares. Otherwise, Apple would have tons of people coming in daily because they don't have a firmware in the right folder, and can't restore to one that they obtained from Apple.

You need to use it when in DFU/Recovery mode and your iPod is messed up. iTunes doesn't detect what firmware its on so you have to get it manually and shift+click restore.

With all the time you've been here, did you actually just promote piracy? I mean come on sir.

You do know that there is an activation process for the Firmware right? If you're not registered, your device is disabled. Also, the "Shift Restore/Update" under Beta firmwares is for Developers who do NOT have Xcode installed to install the Firmware.

And, if a developer wants to legally upgrade to a new build of 3.0, you use the SHIFT+UPDATE or SHIFT+RESTORE process. It comes to be useful a lot.

That's one reason why I said "For people who do not have Xcode installed" IE, Windows users.
