if you update to 3.0 then yes, everything that has to do with a jailbreak will be gone, all your jailbroken apps, including cydia will be gone.

what I did was took screen shots of my springboard pages, then emailed them to my self, so I know what I have installed. home+sleep button to screenshot.

    AppStore Apps stay.
JailBreak/Cydia Apps don't stay, but they also don't get deleted.
You can still access them through Total Commander, or WinSCP.
They are just in another Folder.
But please, next time use Search Function or Google a bit, this has been asked very often.
EDIT: lol, Gabe you were faster -.-

    /private/var/stash.
You should see two Folders named like this "Applications.xxxx"
(xxxx stands for some Symbols and Numbers)
One is the active one, and one is the old 2.x OS one.
NOTE: This only applies if you choose to update to 3.0.
If you restore OS 3.0, everything will be erased.

thanks for that, that also means (if the data from these apps won't be deleted by upgrade-progress) that you can just symlink the old folder to get all your apps back

Please Register or Log in to view images

(some just won't work because their dylibs will be deleted like winterboard or backgrounder)

I think i should restore then, maybe that will fix the problems i'm having with reinstalling those apps, no icons, no recognition of the apps.

    thanks for that info
