    Hey guys.

See if I upgrade to firmware 3.0 and jailbreak it, will that result in me not being able to go back to 2.2.1 jailbreak and yellowsn0wed?

My device is locked to t-mobile but im not using the original t-mobile SIM, so do i even need it unlocked?

    thanks

i think you would be able to use ultra-snow on 2.2.1 because it would use the same baseband, thats what the unlock messes with.

Going to 3.0 requires upgrade on the baseband, which cannot be downgraded at this time, I believe. 3.0 can't run with older basebands so you're forced to up the BB so basically no you can't run yellowsn0w even if you downgrade the firmware. That's why the dev-team is working on releasing ultrasn0w... hopefully soon =)
