What do you think? The Software Update will be enabling bluetooth. Does that mean any computer that has Bluetooth can be wirelessly synced with an iPod Touch 2G? Would there have to be a brand new iTunes/ Operating System for the computer (IE- Mac)? What are you thoughts, any additions? Thanks,

There was a string of code in the 3.0 firmware found a long time that mentioned "WirelessSync" so more than likely yes.

    And also like jpga said:
and he already has the 3.0 beta so apparently, yes it will have it.

WIRELESS SYNCING WILL BE AWESOME!!!! But it would suck if it were over bluetooth cause bluetooth would be slow and too low of range. If you want bluetooth syncing you might as well just plug it into your computer because you have to be close to your computer anyways to use bluetooth.

Not over wifi. Wifii will work as fast as the flash memory will read/write. Bluetooth is the one that will be extremely slow at 3mbps max compared to 58 mbps max with wifi

It wouldn't really be that slow, and nobody (at least I wouldn't think anybody) would plan on wirelessly syncing their entire library.

I, for instance, would use the ease of wireless syncing to maybe change the name of a song quickly without having to connect the iPod or to maybe transfer over just one or two songs.

I'm not to sure why everyone thinks it would be so slow. It wouldn't be any slower than downloading music from the iTunes store app, which people do all the time.
