Wii DVD FTW!!!

    Not possible. You would have to physically open the Wii and replace all the hardware inside with DVD reading hardware then use it.

    Then how does the Wii play its DVD-based games? And yes, it does work, I've done it, you just need some codecs.

    Huh? It has a DVD Drive. It's the software that blocks movie playback. A simple homebrew app gets around this.

    the homebrew channel is good for more than dvd playback, it can emulate old videogame systems and has lots o utilities that make it worth doing, especially for just the cost of a game rental.
