    Hi all

Looking for a bit of advice today.

I am working on my daughters 2g 16gig Jailbroken Touch.

The wifi strength drops to one bar almost immediately it's connected (whereas my 3g Touch is full all the time)

I have previously been able to SSH into my PC with this touch, but no longer can despite the settings being correct.

Is my poor wifi to blame for my inability to SSH?

I have all the same progs on both machines and can't see what the prob is.

Finally, the bluetooth option finds nothing, despite my 3g finding both my laptop and bluetooth headphones

    Hopeful for some solutions folks

    Sorry for the lengthy post

Can you give us a bit more details as to what program you are using and what errors it gives you?

    Hi
Sorry. As far as the SSH goes I am trying to connect via winscp. I get a network connection timed out message. Setings are same on ipod as on the login page.

I use Cydia for most other things. I don't have any issues with this other than it takes ages to load cos of the wifi strength.

Hope this is of help. Anything specific you need to help, just ask.

    Cheers

    Hi, thanks for the link.

I went over the guide you linked too and also updated to the latest winscp.

Checked the IP address loads of times against the ipod and pc. Still get the same problem. Seems not to be an isolated problem, which I'm not sure makes me feel better or worse because there doesn't appear to be a definitive fix. Will keep plugging away in the meantime.

I'm open to any and all suggestions

    Hi
Managed to get over the SSH issue. Got myself Diskaid after trying ifunbox (didn't work). Diskaid very simple to use. No need for WInSCP now

If only the Wifi and bluetooth were as easily fixable.

I run into this sometimes, I just turn off wifi & SSH in SBSettings then turn them back in and I can SSH again

yea. DiskAid uses the USB to ssh, so no wifi needed. nice program, imo.
