When you using wifi does your battery runs out faster than using other apps?
yah leaving ur wifi on does use battery , but i dont think AS much, but then again im not sure, but i do know if ur in an area with no wifi just turn it off cuz it saves batteryPlease Register or Log in to view images

yeah. Keep Wifi off unless you are using it. It's a battery hog. Trust me, you will notice a big difference in your battery's life.
Yup, wifi is a major battery hog. It will shorten the runtime to a couple hours if left on. Mines always off unless it's needed.
another battery hog is SSH. You can turn that off with Services.app
It may not be depleting as quickly as you think. Some resource intensive applications like video related browsing or some games will draw enough current from the battery to reduce the indicated battery level shown and possibly indicate that the voltage is reduced to the 20% or 10% level where you are prompted to allow or dismiss the warning. Usually I dismiss the warning since once the resource hungry application has finished the battery has time to refresh to a useable level. I've used Safari an hour or more past an initial warning prompt.
Maybe something to keep in mind.
by the way, is it ok to leave the ipod locked instead of turning off? Is it using battery ?
locking it is better because turning it off drains like crazy
