wifi problem

    I cant surf the web when i am connected to free wifi. When i open safari the screen dims and it just said connecting forever, and i cant even control anything, unless i press the home button to get out safari. help!!!

    The Wifi signal must be weak.

    it has full signal, i just cant surf the web when ever i'm connected to free wifi. cant even load cydia.

    that means theres something wrong with your router, try resetting it

    It's probably not his. That's the thing. He's probably at school or something. I've had this problem as well. Like if you try McDonald's wifi or something. They have a server for wifi. Not sure how to fix it though.

    I had this problem when connecting to wifi at a shop once, I asked them what the problem was and they said their router/wifi does not work, but when I tried it in mcdonalds, it works there, so it depends on where you try it and if they have it working or not.

    Good way to tell if your connected is to see if your getting an IP address. If you are then it's probally the router. Just because they say 'free wireless' doenst mean it is sometimes. You may have to ask the shop if there's any additional steps to get on their network ..
