This has been happening to me too, also on my Touch. It is however not jailbroken and it doesn't always happen but happens enough to piss me off when PvPing on Galcon.

Are you sure that you're connecting to your home wireless network? It could be another, much weaker network you're connecting to like a neighbors connection.

No my neighbors network is security enabled so this would not be possible, seems to drop when I am downloading stuff.

the wifi in my unniversity drops like hell in the ipod touch...it's a WPA2 secure wireless and still my iPod doesn't automatically connect even though it has the username and password recorded.....i always have to go to the settings....wait for the wirless to pop in the screen and connect....but after five minutes of using it dies.....

It's not a problem of the network since I connect to it using my computer on a daily basis and guess what? It works.....apple really needs to look into this

Tried that a couple of times did not fix it, If I turn the touch off and on it then reconnects, its a right pain in the butt.

I have the same problem :/
What I do is turn on and off the wifi toggle until I can access the internet.

Yes, it's annoying. I have no problems with my laptop though, so I have no idea what it could be :S

    same here...

this problem only started with the 2.2 firmware.

my ssh keeps disconnecting me, and it takes me at least 20 tries to change the permissions of one folder...

I can also confirm it. Has been happening to me too. Trouble connecting for the first few minutes (on/off ect.) then after that it works fine with no hangs.
