Alright, so my sister just got a new iPod Touch 3G 2 days ago. We plug it in, set it all up. After this we try to connect to the internet with it, nothing. It sits there trying to connect forever. After looking through my router I have found that according to my router, the iPod has no ip address.

But, on the iPod, it has the ip address of 169.254.95.62

Not one application involving any form of internet works. I am wondering, how would I go about fixing this?

Try manually giving your iPod an IP address by going into settings > WiFi > [Network Name here]

Any number like 192.168.1.xxx would do

After spending some more time. I have discovered something.
One of my parents must've been in the router and turned on "MAC filtering" this denied the ipod MAC address access to the router. I have turned it off and the iPod wifi now works. Thank you for trying to help.
