I posted this in help, but I think it's a 2nd-gen issue, so I figured posting it here would yield more results.

See, whenever I connect to a network it only reflects that in the settings app, and Internet-based apps can't connect. However, turning wifi off and on usually fixes the problem. Any ways to fix this? I'm unjailbroken, and have already decided to not re-jailbreak, so no ssh, but restoring is an option.

I have the same exact problem except sometimes my ipod turns off while trying to connect and wont turn back on then I have to reset it. I'm thinking about returning it for something cheaper. I didn't pay $400 for something that doesn't work.

happens to me to...i think its a software issue

whenever i connect to a wifi service for the first time its fine, everything is smooth. at a later time when i try and reconnect to any previously used wifi service, it can't connect and i have to make it "forget this network" and reconnect for it to work
