    Need help here.

When I'm connecting on my iTouch on internet, it works pretty well..
But when I'm trying to connect to internet, on the same router, my friend's iPod touch, it doesn't work.. It says : ''Impossible to connect to ''router's name''..

(My friend wants me to jailbreak his iPod, but it doesn't work)

    Help plzz.

    Thank you.

Did you try to enter a password on your friends touch...........and if your running firmware 1.1.2 on the ipod then jailbreaking wont work. You want to install firmware 1.1.1,( its around here somewhere) then try jailbreaking again.

    - What you mean enter a pw on his iPod touch?..

    - He has 1.1.2, and I know how to jailbreak it (downgrade to 1.1.1, etc.) But he can't connect to internet (so I won't be able to have installer etc.), what's the problem? If I downgrade right now, will internet work?

    Thanksss.

Maybe the wifi network have some security whereby only certain mac address have access to the network. Mac filtering. U need to register his mac address.

Who manage your WiFi Access Point (AP)? Can you log-in to the AP?
If yes, can you allow the MAC (its Media Access Control and not Macbook) address of the iPod Touch ...

    Gnr, a couple questions...

Is your router protected with a password?
Did a family member configure the router or did you since if a family member, friend, etc did, they could have set things up like edoras was talking about MAC filtering and etc?
