I have a 16GB 3G with an odd issue... On the lower right of the screen, just inside the dock area, are a cluster of pixels that randomly get stuck. There's a bright green on and a few dimmer red or blue ones. The green one is almost constant, but the red/blue ones come and go randomly and sometimes if you look closely they even twinkle a little. From what I have found by searching ITF is about using a white image for an hour or more, but will this method also work on colored pixels? One a white screen they are not visible but a little color or darkness and they are pretty clear...

But maybe try restoring it? That happened on my ipod 2g but i was also experimenting with different custom firmwares so that could of been the cause. Experiment alittle.

Thanks for the info. I tried that video and a similar one that is 5 minutes long (like 3 times) and it helped some of the dimmer one but not the brighter one. So I tried something else I read on here about "massaging" the screen by putting gently pressure on the glass...and it worked! But this morning, start it back up, and they're all back...

Try some bad pixel fixers and if that doesnt work I would think about taking it to Apple and seeing what they can do for your iDevice.

There is only only pixel fixer in the appstore now (the rest are long since gone). And that one just sits on a white screen for an hour or so. Hell, I can do that for free with a white image... I did try the multi-colored strobe on youtube. As for apple, it's a 3G and long out of warranty, it'd cost like 200 for them to replace the screen...

Sir, there is no way in hell, heaven, or purgatory that your iPod touch is a 3G 16GB. that doesn't exist period.

why cuz apple only upgraded the 32gb and 64gb models in late october or september in 2009 and they left the 8gb model the same. the only 16gb models are the first gens and 2nd gens bt there isnt no way in hell lol that you have a 16g 3rd gen
