I am on fiber optic cable.
I must log in to my ISP with username and password.
My ipod will log in my router with no prblems.
But safari will not browse the web , because I have no means to create a new connection from within my Ipod Touch or safari.
    Don't know what to do....

I don't think that's going to help him. It sounds like you have to open a new connection from your PC every time you want to get online, correct? If so, there are a couple option. You could try to setup your connection software to autoconnect when you try to use an online application (like IE). You could then try to do Internet Connection Sharing under Windows or Internet Sharing under Mac OS X to allow your iPod Touch access. Or you could just set up VNC on your platform, use your iPod Touch to turn on the connection remotely, and then access it... Either way, connection software makes it a pain..

If you're using some sort of fibre optic connection, like FiOS, you shouldn't need to login all the time. The router should do it for you.
