Please help guys, my wi-fi is messed up. I can connect to the network, but every time I try to use a service. it says it cannot connect to the internet. I'm using 2.2.1 and I've tried 2 different secured networks and 1 unsecured. I've made sure that's its something with the iPod by connecting with my laptop. I've tried rebooting the router. It was working fine before. It's driving me nuts. I really could use help

it happens sometimes for me too.
the only connections i could get into were private ones, like at my friends or my house, and in hotel lobbies. wont work at my library for some reason...
make sure youre within range, thats the biggest key
and try wifitrak, its way better than the one in settings, it can tell you the range in accurate numbers, encryption, and it can detect way more networks. give it a shot

    This iS what I did:
shut off the router and modem
go to iPod and go into settings>general>reset>reset network settings.
Let the iPod do it's thing
once it's done turn on you router and modem
    connect to wifi

I'm pretty sure it's not my router, i've tried it on many networks. rebooting the router made no difference. My laptop can connect. But I'll try reseting the network settings.

You can try changing the channel of the router, I had the same problem with my macbook connecting and changing the channel to something that wasn't automatically set, like channel 9, fixed the problem.

    Hope this helps

If the above don't work try checking what your connecting to as many sites like cloud networks btfon bthomehub etc appear to be open but are limited. You usually have to connect to there website to insert a user account info. I have also found some adapters like belkin adapters don't always let you connect. Have you got a wifi dongle? Try that on your laptop and then try to connect to that? What wifi apps have you recently installed?
