    Hi,
Thanks in advance just for reading this

i usually use one of my neighbor's open wi-fi networks to access
the internet on my touch but last night i updated installer app
on my jb'd 1.1.2 and was instantly kicked offline.

now in wi-fi settings i can see open networks but when i click
the blue arrow it shows no ip information (ip address, subnet mask, router, dns, etc) and wont connect to anyone.

i restored and i downgraded to 1.1.1 and then i tried upgrading to 1.1.3
    still the same issue.

i've tried to access at a starbucks that i've accessed from in the past
and it still showed no ip info and wouldnt connect.

    any ideas?

so, does that mean the network isnt open anymore? there arent lock icons next to a few of them, and those same networks all worked fine before i updated the installer app last night.

yeh thats the thing. it says they arent locked but wont connect to them anyway
i think im going to go buy a router tomorrow as it would probably be easier to figure this out
    thru my own wifi connection.

any suggestions for routers or options of that nature?
    thanks again guys

got also a problem like this.

when i want to connect with my network, i need to type in the password.
i typed it in and it sayd i was connected. now i wanted to open safari.
when opened i couldn't search for any site.
now i checked if it worked with my friends secured network and it works with his network.
now i clicked on the blue arrow and saw ip adress filled in an stuff.
so i did this at my network and it was all blank.

what should i doe to fix it?
