Hello, this is my first post. Well, I updated my iPod touch 2g to iOS 4.1 recently, and jailbroke it with redsn0w right after jailbreaking. Now, I have found that my device will connect to my wi-fi network, but Safari, the mail app, cydia or anything else will not load. I get an error message. I tried rebooting my iPod, disconnecting and reconnecting to the network, and it still will not connect. I am not sure what the problem is, and I would prefer not to have to restore. Thank you for your help.

Umm.. you "jailbroke" your device with an OLD exploit. Which means you used OLD jailbreak. Restore your iPod. Because there isn't a jailbreak out for 4.1 yet.

I'm quite happy to sit on 4.0 for the momment, but I have and old device, and I would like to update.

As far as I have heard there was going to be an updated redsn0w that would fix these issues. I'm not so sure if there will be now that the new exploit has been found which will most likely make redsn0w redundant.
