They are probably blocking safari, there are some people who have the same issue, unfortunately the only fix is to use another browser.

The internet is an amazing educational resource that allows user to access terabytes of information at the click of a button and gather information so fast that it has greatly sped up the learning process.

I had the same problem until I found out I needed to use a proxy as our school's WiFi connection comes up as having no protection but once you connected normally (without proxy), it wouldn't work. Our school also uses a similar login method (Not HP but original windows authentication) so all I had to do was place my username and password into the Proxy Authentication form in my touch and type in all the ip addresses manually.

Safari works but none of the apps do.

I bought JaaduVNC for the sole purpose of accessing my home computer from school but unfortunately it doesn't work!

Sorry to take the thread off-topic, but does anyone with the 'know how', know how to get the internet working through a proxy for other apps except safari? After searching endlessly, I only managed to get a few hints with programs such as 'Privoxy' or 'Setting up a VPN'

    being offered.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes but the wireless internet access indicates that this school has designated laptops, and probably wired desktops, that are there to learn on. I highly doubt that his intentions were to learn.
