No, should have gotten an iphone if you wanted that. If you live in a big city like me, I pretty much get wifi everywhere.

Definitely an epic fail, if you were being serious.

but uh yeah, that would be a negative on wi-fi anywhere...

and if you didnt know that then you probly shouldnt even own a piece of high technology like the touch, just sayin......

Lol, if only... Then none of us would have to pay monthly cell phone bills. We'd all use free/unlimited VoIP and internet access all the time!

    Defiantly no.

    But technically, yes.
But in order for this to happen there would have to be an EXTREMELY advanced team to develop the software and hardware for it. It'll never happen. That guy was crazy

Well it seems possible to do something like that considering things like a jailbreak and the unlocking of cell phones.

Jailbreaking and unlocking are two completely different things.

Jailbreaking: Allowing non-Apple approved application onto the iPod, and allowing customization o the iPod and its system files.

Unlocking: Allowing the iPhone to use service providers other than AT&T.

Exactly my point lol. Allowing the iPhone to use service providers other than AT&T and changing files around to put third party applications on an iPod.
