    Hi,
I have an iPod Touch 8Gb, I bought it Monday and since then I tried to connect to the internet. But no luck.
I have a Wi-Fi connection(the neighbours didn't protect it with a password) and I can connect to it. I have a full signal. When I go to Safari, it first said 'Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet.'

I did some research and I came to this: http://wiredforgadgets.com/?p=743

But when I do that, I don't get the warning again but the page just doesn't load.
    I get this:

    What's the problem?

    Thanks in advance

Try to forget the network (a button on the same screen where you entered the DNS) and then reconnect. I get the same problem at school sometimes. I think that you're out of the wifi network itself but for some reason it still shows up at full strength.

I tried it, but still no Internet :/

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. Last wednesday I was at McDonalds and there's a Wi-Fi hotspot. So I selected that network, opened Safari and it showed the login page of the hotspot. (But I didn't log in)

    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi>[Network Blue Arrow]
And where it says DNS erase what is in there and enter:
    192.168.1.1

I haven't looked at the link you posted, but try setting up a Static IP address.
That's what I have to do with my iPod 2G and had to do with my 1G.

@iPTF_BROWSER: He may not have a Linksys router, so that my not help.
