For some reason I cant connect to wifi on my ipod touch. It worked absolutely fine until i created a static ip address on my computer for my wifi network. My internet on my computer works 100% fine on wi-fi with the static ip address., but after i set it up, it wouldnt let me connect to the internet on my ipod. by the way i have vista. Heres what i did:
    start> run> "cmd"> "ipconfig/all"
i copied the numbers under my wi-fi network info "ip address" "subnet mask" "default gateway" and "DNS servers"
i went to start> control panel> nework and sharing center> manage network connections> right clicked my wi-fi network> properties> TCP/IPv4 > properties and set up my static ip adress to what it said in the command console:
    IP Address: 192.168.1.2
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default gateway: 192.168.1.1
then i set my primary and alternate DNS servers.
LMFAO!!!!! While i was writing this , i figured out the problem.
i set the static ip address on my ipod to the same as the one on my computer, which is a no-no. LMFAO!!

I've done that on more than one occasion in the past when setting up a new device.
