First off, I'd like to ask if anybody knows of a way to have (on an iPod touch) Wi-Fi to be always on. It shuts off after a few seconds when the iPods locked. I'd like to know if there's any way to keep it on even after lock.

^ If there is a way, I'd also like to know if there's some sort of toggle for SBSettings or something that will allow me to turn off Wi-Fi Always On and turn off Wi-Fi always on.

Why? Well, as some of you may know, a few weeks back, my brothers iPod was stolen and a couple days ago, he bought a new 3G iPt. Learning from the first lesson, I've installed anti-theft software (iHound) but the issue is, it can only track/send push notifications to the stolen device if it is on Wi-Fi, meaning unlocked and in use.

    So thats my reason.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

    Here's my other question:

I double-secured the iPod by installing iLocalis, but it doesnt quite work right.
I know iLocalis is specifically designed for iPhone, and it doesnt really work well w/ iPod touch.

It doesnt report the location and its very buggy. I'm willing to pay for the software, but not if it doesnt work right. So what I'm asking is if someone knows of any way to 'fix' iLocalis to work w/ iPod touch correctly

    Thanks.

And for the wifi toggle switch, just search wifi toggle on cydia. It should already be in your SBSettings though, as a default toggle. Go to SBSettings>more>set toggles and turn wifi on.

wait a minute if it gets lost or stolen, then it wont be in a wifi range that its set up with, so i dont think any of this could work,i might be wrong :-/.

If the person who steals it hooks up to Wi-Fi, then they'll recieve a booby-trapped push notification, hopefully press "View", and then it will transmit the location to me

Insomnia is free. Insomnia Pro, is not. Insomnia should suit your needs just fine.
