I've noticed on 2.0 that the iPod remains connected to the Wi-fi even on stand by (at least it seems it is).

On 1.1.4, when it was on stand by and I pressed home, the Wi-fi icon used to be hidden then after some seconds it appeared again (meaning on stand by it turns wi-fi off), but on 2.0 it seems to be always there.

Is it like that on yours? I'm always paranoid with battery life

I don't think Apple would have done this without making an announcement.

Previously, you lost your connection after 30 seconds of the screen off.

That justs means to keep connected when the app closes, not when the screen is black. (Or so I think)

This Is caused if you have Push Email turned on...

Go to Settings > Fetch New Data > turn off Push...

    Voila!

It stays on if you're using an application that uses WiFi, even if you don't have Push on, at least for me.
