I went from a blackberry to an iPhone 3, I was immediately hooked, especially since I was already a mac user. I then of course moved up in devices. This past February I still had my iPhone 4 and after my hubs cracked his screen I gave him my iPhone 4 and started using an old HTC he had laying around (on 2.1 I think). I liked it so I ended up buying an HTC Vivid (on 2.3 if I remember). I loved my vivid, but over time I started missing so much about my iPhone. Mainly because I had always jailbroken my iPhones since my first 3. So after only about 4 months using my Vivid I sold it and got an iPhone 4s. Currently my hubs is using the 4s and I'm using the 4 but none the less cannot get over my love of the OS and the iPhone. I did not have a bad experience with Android (also tried out a Samsung Galaxy 2 for a short time on gingerbread I think) just user preference I prefer iPhone. I've had a ton of friends ask my opinion (which is better).. in my opinion neither, it all comes down to how each person likes things to operate..
When I first went to to Android (Motorola Backflip on 2.1 back in April '11) I was hooked but shortly after missed iOS like you did. But now, this past April, I came back to it and honestly, will never even think twice about going back to iOS. I'm big on software and hardware hack/ tweaks, and all around customization and full control of my device, so Android is perfect Have you used any Jelly Bean (4.1) devices?
Holy crap I know what you mean. I have like $150 worth of app store purchases. I regret all but a few.
Not a very small percentage of people use custom ROMs. Look at xda-developers. There's waaay more than that. I even make custom ROMs. Only about 200 people use them, but oh well
I go on xda but all those people combined still make up a very small percentage of all the people with those phones. Wow really? Thats really awesome. Which devices do you develop for?
I used to dev for the EVO 4g, but it died the other night, so currently onlyfor the Droid incredible 2
