Why do you NOT want it:

    1. another 300$ to spend
    2. noting new really only a speaker and 2 buttons
    3. come on the first ipod touch is thinner!!!
    4. the front is still the same exept for the thin alluminium border
    5. Harder to get good soft cases for since the form is kinda roundish.
    6. Paying for a Nike+ receiver. It should have been kept as an accessory.
    Why DO you want it.

    1. Looks a little more awsome. + strange alien wifi black thingie
    2. Speaker
    3. Volume buttons
    4. You got the Nike+ receiver built in.
    5. More battery life.
    6. Earphone Mic Works with it and not the First Gen.
You tell me if you want to pay for just that ^

    -Don't forget Nike+
    -More Battery Life
-Earphone Mic Works with it and not the First Gen.
-First Generation iPod Touch was ALSO Aluminum, so there is no difference there. Remove that.

    1. Paying for a Nike+ receiver when I would never ever use it, great for those who would, waste of money for the rest of us, should have been kept as an accessory.

    2. Too much for 2 buttons and a (probably rubbish) speaker.

    3. Where's the bluetooth? If it had that, I could use wireless headphones, and speakers.

    4. The "new" design is simply a copy of the iPhone 3G. Nothing special.

    5. The value of my iPod Touch has gone down sharply now there is a new version.

I dont need it to be honest.
Hardware controls: no need, I have pocket touch
Speakers: I prefer headphones, more bass and more louder!
    Nike+: I dont jog
Aluminium bezel: can get scratched more.

I dont want to spend another £220 on an iPod.

A: Because you have extremely unrealistic expectations and expect the world for $20.00.

A: Because you expect more than 2 buttons, a speaker, and a slightly altered design for the "premium" apple prices.

I disagree with the DO feature of the new wifi reciever. I actually prefer the way it looks on current gen ipod, but everything else, including thickness looks better on gen 2.
