the answer is simple: they are the best and most reliable.
So many people have started buying chipods (hacked ipod clones made in china that are hacked to say they have more flash memory then they really do) that im beginning to think wether or not they know what an ipod is.
all of the other brands: Sony, Samsung, Zune, Sansa, so on and so on,

Their sound quality doesnt get close to matching the ipod (i DO know the earphones make a difference) and they dont have half the features (except the radio, which i dont get why apple doesnt include it). And i wont even begin to explain that due to the fact that they are so popular, they have so much accessories and so much support.
Point made, ipods are worth the price you pay for them, unlike all these 50 60 dollar mp3s. (heck these crap chipods cost like 20 30 rofl)

    1. Learn how to capitalize and not start a new line after a few words.
    2. Have you tried other players such as the Sony Walkman and Zune HD?
    3. You made no point. The Zune HD for example is not 50-60 dollars.
    4. Obviously a $300 iPod (overpriced) will be better than a $50 1GB off brand MP3 player. If you actually buy one of those thinking it's going to beat out an iPod, you are a complete fool.

Tell me how the iPod touch is better than the Zune HD. I personally think the Zune HD is better than the iPod touch, and I'd be happy to prove someone wrong. I just want some educated opinions from you.

If I was to choose between a Shuffle or a Sansa Clip which would I pick? Pretty simple, sansa clip.

    Agreed.
But I would choose an iPod touch 3G over a Zune HD anyday.

How 'bout a ipod classic and a zune 120gb? Same price but the Zune has ALOT of more features.

Me too. I think the new shuffle is worse than the 2nd generation. Haha.

Would you like to put any facts behind your statement? Or are you just another senseless fanboy?

Right, but the iPod classic is called classic because its... well, old, I guess.
    Lol.

The 1st generation was released in October of 2001,
and the Zune was released when, like September of 07.

... So you could see that the Zune would have a lot more features than the iPod classic.

Also Sony X series Walkman. Very good screen and pretty good SQ through the headphone out. Only thing I don't like about it is the lack of support for lossless (I think?). The iPod is just so popular for to be honest, one reason. Design. It has an appealing design that attracts a very wide range of people.

    Oh.
Well then I suppose he has a point.
Thanks for including my ® sign btw, never see that a lot.

But the iPod touch is well, "an iPod touch", and thats the main reason people buy it. As thechungster said, there may be some other valuable competition, but the iPod and more importantly the iPod touch and iPod Nano are just popular.

I mean, come on. When you think of MP3 players, the first thing that comes to mind is the word iPod, not a Zune or Sansa.
