first of all, you get the wiggly icons, web clips, and the new safari, etc.
second, you can say that you have jailbroken the latest ipod firmware
third, it has some bug fixes
    fourth, more app compatibility
fifth, just do it! c'mon, be your own pioneer, even if you dont care about the first through fourth ones, it at least gives you a sense of accomplishment, and you can just experiment with it, see what you like/dont like

I'll give you some good reasons :

    More Features
    All Applications Work With It
    SDK
Its the most recent, less bugs, apparently runs smoother, so forth -.o

Use the damn search to find out whats so bloody different!

A better question to ask is: what features does it have that hacking doesn't? Also, how does it improve what hacking does?

For one, moving around applications on the home screen is greatly improved. No more need for Customize and rBST, now you've got a better and simpler way to do it. Unfortunately, no 5 icon dock, but I never used five icons (too scrunched up).

Now you have webclips (icons on the home screen that bring you to a site in Safari). You can easily create them on the spot, unlike the past, where you would need to go on your computer, put in the website, choose an icon, SSH into your iPod, and put it on. Now you do it all through Safari, and it gives you an automated icon.

Also, you can see the lyrics of songs through the music app, rather than using the Lyrics app. It doesn't surf the web and get the lyrics if you don't have them, though, but it's better than using the Lyrics app to sing along.

And, as always, you have "bug fixes".

However, it needs some patching up, and if you need any help with doing that there's various guides, and I'm fully willing to help you with patching it, whenever you need.
